Sandia Park is located in Bernalillo County, in the Albuquerque metro area.  The community was named after the Sandia Mountains; Spanish term for "watermelon".  Northeast of Tramway in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains lies an area of custom homes, providing beautiful views of the night time lights in the city of Albuquerque.
