Most tours are run by members of the Lowry/Zachary family who pride themselves on presenting a wealth of knowledge about their beloved stones. Participants will learn the journey turquoise takes from the removal from the mine to its final transformation. Information will be imparted on mining and workmanship of this mesmerizing gem. Tours begin in the opening of a mock mine which is open for exploration fifteen minutes prior to scheduled tour times.
